Steve is senior counsel at RCO Legal, P.S. Steve’s practice areas include bankruptcy and receivership litigation, commercial and residential loan litigation, and real estate litigation. Steve served as a court-appointed receiver in State of Washington, Department of Financial Institutions v. Hoss Mortgage Investors Case No. 09-2-33731-4 SEA; Federal Trade Commission v. Sweet Song Corp. et al., Case No. 97-4544 LGB; and Securities and Exchange Commission v. Kellin Investment Corp. et al., Case No. 98-7152 ABC. Steve was in-house at Beverly Hills Savings during the successful workout of a major portfolio of distressed commercial real estate.
Steve is a past instructor at the University of California, Irvine (1987-1993), “Working With Distressed and Non-Performing Real Estate.” He has also served as an expert witness for the government and United States Trustee in prosecution of cases involving foreclosure consultants, home equity purchase agreements, and rent skimming. Steve is a founding director of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and past director of the California Receiver’s Forum.
